What is Custom Molding Services?

In the early stage of determining the use of injection molding, we will first design the mold through CAD and other ways to create a mold that meets the processing requirements. The complexity and quality of a mold design can directly determine the accuracy and quality of subsequent product molding. As a result, significant resources are often required at this stage.

This process is often used when making plastic parts on a large scale because of its low material waste and low cost per part. Compared to other materials, plastics are cheaper and more efficient to process.

Our Custom Molding Services process produces custom prototypes and end-use production parts with delivery times of up to 3-5 day. When determining the mold is correct, we can reach 24 hours of uninterrupted production of molded products, which can greatly reduce the processing cycle, and we also store more than 200 kinds of processing materials to meet the different requirements of the processing process

How Does Plastic Injection Molding Work?

   The manufacturing process of parts in injection molding is complex. Before your product takes shape, we provide you with a team of professional engineers to discuss manufacturability feedback and design consulting services through online meetings with you, so you can avoid mold design pitfalls before the material enters the mold. Through the communication of the team to determine the feasibility of the product Our engineering team will make every effort to create a mold that conforms to the high precision molding of the product. From there, you can get the consistency of high quality products as well as the high efficiency of product production.

   Your critical mass (CTQ) size requirements for your model let us know which details are critical to the success of your part. Once the mold is completed separately, after the first product molding is completed, our professional inspection team will analyze all aspects of the product, including the hardness of the material, whether the accuracy of the product meets the production requirements, we will send the first batch of products and inspection certificates to you, when the production is licensed, we will produce this batch of parts with the fastest efficiency.

The operation of the injection molding machine usually starts with the thermoplastic particles being put into the injection hopper and the thermoplastic particles are heated to melt in the heating barrel of the injection machine during the heating process. The spiral rod rotates to help the thermoplastic particles to fuse evenly forward. With the advance of the screw, the melted thermoplastic particles will be injected into the mold cavity (the interior of the mold cavity is under high pressure) when injected into the mold cavity. The cooling water circulation in the cooling system will quickly cool the plastic in the mold cavity. After the cooling is completed, the mold can be opened and the plastic parts will be pushed out of the mold. If you need follow-up processing, you can choose whether to remove the flash or whether you need to polish, spray and other processes.

Q: What is the cost of creating a mold separately?

A: Generally speaking, the cost of creating a mold is usually higher, because the quality of the mold will directly affect the quality of the product during production, for small batches of customized orders is not necessary to create a mold, but for mass production, after a separate mold, the cost of each single piece will be reduced, which is economic in the long run

Q: Can you customize the mold?

A: Yes, we can create a unique mold for product production according to the details and processing characteristics provided by you in accordance with CAD methods. When the mold is successfully built, the cost price of the production of the product will be greatly reduced, and it is the cheapest in the long run. If the mold is damaged, it can be rebuilt at the first time

Q: What is the tolerance of your mold after completion?

A: In most cases, the tooling we create can maintain a machining tolerance of +/ -0.003 in. (0.08mm), including material tolerance may be greater than but not less than +/- 0.002 in /in. The tolerance parameters of the detailed parts can also be handled separately according to the material requirements

Q: Who the mold belongs to

A: The ownership of all molds manufactured by us is yours. After the completion of conventional processing and molding, you can choose whether to take the molds away together according to your requirements, but the costs incurred during transportation will be borne by you. If you are not sure about the applicability of the molds, our engineers will discuss with you

Q: Can you make the same material can reflect different colors?

A: Yes, of course you can do color matching in the same material! You only need to tell us the specific details of the product during processing and the parts that need to be processed during production. However, when multiple colors are run on the same order, the cleanup fee will be increased.

Provide customized parts information
