The introduction of ironworking to Greece in the late 10th century BC started the Iron Age in Europe. The Ancient Greeks produced basic armour and weaponry by hammering iron ore however the Roman Empire increased mining for iron and began to create spoons, saucepans, door fittings and a number of other items that still make use of sheet metal today.

(1) Before the 20th century

The development of sheet metal technology has a long history. Various methods were used to smelt metals from ancient bronze and iron vessels. With the progress of smelting technology, the materials of metal plates gradually melt, and learned how to use some tools to deal with the materials of metal plates. This is the prototype of sheet metal technology. Before the 20th century, it was mainly handmade sheet metal.

(2) Since the early 1980s

The sheet metal processing factory told us that since the beginning of the 20th century, molds and stamping equipment have been gradually used in the field of sheet metal processing. In the 1980s, CNC sheet metal began to appear. Under normal circumstances, the development of widely used dies and stamping equipment and CNC automation equipment sheet metal technology has two milestones. The former gave birth to stamping, while the latter gave birth to CNC sheet metal.

(3) The 20th Century Gift in 1980

Because in the 1980s, China has become the world's manufacturing and consumption center. As the basis of manufacturing, one of the stamping and sheet metal industries has also achieved unprecedented development. With the development of science and technology in China, a large number of sheet metal processing enterprises and industries have begun to develop, for example, to provide laser guidance for the well developed industry of sheet metal processing in China.

The sheet metal processing factory told us that because it is widely used in sheet metal products, including almost all manufacturing and raw materials, it is mainly used in the communication and electronic industries, automobile, motorcycle manufacturing, aerospace, instrument and meter industries, household appliances industries, etc. Generally, stamping and forming of all types of mechanical and electrical products are used for the production of sheet metal parts, suitable for batch production stamping process, and precision machining of CNC sheet metal processing.
